At about 1:50pm, four men who were working on the Highway 99 Tunnel Project were installing rebar on a 25-foot wall when it for some reason gave out, causing the workers to fall to the ground. The identities of the men have not been released, but their ages are 23, 29, 31, and 36. Three of the victims sustained injuries but could walk away from the accident, but one man was seriously injured and had to be carried out by firefighters. Check back for updates.

Police say an 18-year-old driver under the influence of marijuana may have caused a violent crash. The two passengers of the car were taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The injured bus driver was transported to Swedish Hospital.

A woman was killed this morning when her car veered into oncoming traffic and collided with another vehicle on Highway 99 in Lynnwood, police said. The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. in the 17100 block of Highway 99. Police said a woman, later identified as Jeretta C. Graham, 77, was driving south when her car veered into northbound traffic, colliding head-on with a second vehicle. The southbound driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the second driver, a woman in her 40s, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, police said.

A 30-year-old man had died after being struck by a car as he attempted to cross Highway 99 near Manor Way in Everett around 10 p.m. Thursday night. The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he was pronounced dead. He has been identified as 30-yer-old Dahai Guan of Federal Way. The driver of the vehicle was headed southbound on Highway 99 when Guan reportedly stepped in front of him. It was determined that the driver was not at fault. Everett is growing in population, and with this growth comes increases in traffic, congestion, and accidents.

Two people were hurt Tuesday afternoon when a Community Transit bus struck a sport utility vehicle on Highway 99 in Lynnwood. The crash happened just before 4:30 p.m., Lynnwood police said. The southbound SUV was making a left turn in the 20400 block of the highway, Community Transit spokesman said. "The (northbound) bus couldn't stop in time and hit the car and knocked it on its side," he said. The SUV driver was taken to a Seattle hospital and was expected to survive, Wellington said. Twenty people were on the bus at the time.

Highway 99 in Hazel Dell was blocked for about two hours Thursday evening after a three-car collision.

Nobody was injured in the collision, but both directions of the highway were closed near Northeast 112th Street because there was debris and gasoline on the roadway.
