Two hurt, taken to hospital in crash between transit bus and SUV.

Two people were hurt Tuesday afternoon when a Community Transit bus struck a sport utility vehicle on Highway 99 in Lynnwood. The crash happened just before 4:30 p.m., Lynnwood police said. The southbound SUV was making a left turn in the 20400 block of the highway, Community Transit spokesman said. "The (northbound) bus couldn't stop in time and hit the car and knocked it on its side," he said. The SUV driver was taken to a Seattle hospital and was expected to survive, Wellington said. Twenty people were on the bus at the time. One passenger was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
