Monday, May 11, 2015According to police, 18-year-old Connor Dipzinski was eastbound in a Ford pickup on Knapp Street NE near Egypt Valley Drive when he lost control on the wet road, crossed the center line into oncoming traffic, and struck a westbound pickup driven by 93-year-old Rex Baird at around 4:30 p.m. Baird died at the scene, while his wife, 91-year-old Frances Baird, who was riding in the front passenger seat, was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition. Dipzinski was brought to the hospital with minor injuries.

Chicago, ILTwo people were killed and six others, including several minors, were injured in a crash that took place around 3 p.m. on Harlem Avenue. According to witnesses, a vehicle driven by an elderly man crossed the centerline and struck a van driven by a 17-year-old with five other teenagers in the car. The man and an elderly woman in the car both died at the scene. The six youths were taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center for treatment.

Sunday, April 12, 2015Two motorcycles collide in West Hempfield Township just before 1 p.m. Sunday on Marietta Avenue near Chiquesville Trailer Park. According to police, a 72-year-old male driving a motorcycle pulled out of the trailer park into an oncoming motorcycle driven by a 19-year-old male. The 19-year-old driver was ejected from his motorcycle and was brought to a nearby hospital suffering severe injuries. No further information has been released.
