An SUV containing three people was driving on West 10th Street, where witnesses say they saw it run a stop sign, strike a parked vehicle, and slammed into the Oak Cliff Apartments, wedging the parked vehicle in-between. All three people in the SUV, identified as Lucinda Rosas De Esparza, 56, Evelina Maltos, 66, and Paul Maltos, 93, were pronounced dead. There is currently little information regarding what caused the crash; we will add details as they become available.

On Wednesday afternoon the driver of a cement truck ran a red light, then overturned and caused an accident in the process that damaged a vehicle on North Decatur Road.   The truck hit a car that was turning from Superior Avenue to North Decatur Road.  The crash caused the truck to overturn and land on the other vehicle, but there were no serious injuries in the accident.

An unidentified female driver was driving on East Newberry Road, and turned from it onto Old Windsor Road. She did not properly yield to cross traffic, and was struck by an eastbound car on Old Windsor Road before her car rotated and crashed into a nearby building. The woman was declared dead at the scene, but the man driving the other vehicle was uninjured. We will update this accident with more details as they become available.

Police state the vehicle was driving northbound on North 48th Street at a high rate of speed around 10:15 p.m. when it went through the stop sign at Bedford Avenue and left the roadway. The Jaws of Life were required to remove two of the passengers from the wreck. Twenty-one-year-old Mary Winscot was treated for a broken foot, pelvis injury and a laceration to her neck. Twenty-four-year-old Sharonda Wishecoby-Lewis suffered a head injury and is in the Intensive Care Unit.

Speth was northbound on 3700 East on Thursday evening, when she did not properly stop or yield at the stop sign at the intersection with US 30, and struck an eastbound pickup. The collision brought both cars off of the road, and Speth's vehicle continued to strike a power pole which sent many powerlines falling down into the roadway. Speth and her passenger Chastain were not wearing seat belts, while Spencer and Gould, the driver and passenger of the eastbound pickup truck respectively, were wearing seat belts. A car containing three people was traveling northbound on 3800 East when they came to a stop sign at the intersection with U.S. 30. The driver of the car then drove into the intersection, but was directly in the path of a westbound snowplow driven by Rodney Pooler, 58, and the two vehicles collided and slid off the northwestern corner of the intersection.
