Denver, CO35-year-old April Wilson was found to be under the influence of alcohol when she was driving her car on South Broadway and side-swiped a motorcyclist at the intersection with First Avenue. The collision occured at about 2:00 a.m., and the motorcyclist, identified only as a 27-year-old man, was thrown from his bike into trash can, parking meter, and bicycle rack. After being brought to the hospital with severe injuries, the man eventually died.

Phoenix, AZMichael Washburn was driving his motorcycle at a high rate of speed on McCulloch Boulevard in Lake Havasu City. When his motorcycle rear-ended a pickup truck, Washburn sustained serious injuries that cost him his life. He died about 3 and a half hours later at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The driver of the pickup was not hurt.

Monday, April 6, 2015Gary Stilwell was traveling to Maria Carrillo High School on a skateboard. He was riding south on Calistoga Road through the Badger Road intersection when he collided with a car that was turning left on Badger. Stilwell was hospitalized with minor injuries. The driver, 27-year-old Carolina Campos, was not injured.

Salt Lake City, UT63-year-old Karen Johnson was driving an ATV on the popular Hell's Revenge Trail in the area of Moab, UT, as part of a private group. As Johnson attempted a challenging climb up an obstacle known as a "hot tub", the vehicle lost traction and rolled downward. After being airlifted to a nearby hospital, Johnson, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead.

Thursday, April 2, 2015A motorcycle, driven by Bobby Joe Crane, collided with a pickup truck, driven by Scott Douglas, late Thursday night on Currys Lake Road in Laurens County, South Carolina. The cause of the crash has not yet been released. Crane was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene. Douglas and the two passengers in the pickup were not injured.

Wednesday, April 1, 2015Natalie Shafer was traveling north around 4:15 p.m. on Neely Ferry Road when she turned left in front of a motorcycle, colliding with driver Antoinette Cummings. Cummings was not wearing a helmet and was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Shafer did not sustain any injuries.

Tucson, AZEthan Johnson attempted to pass another vehicle near I-10 and Grant Road but lost control of his motorcycle, and then crashed. He was thrown from his bike in the accident and was reportedly not wearing a helmet. He sustained serious injuries and died about two weeks later.

Washington, DCOn Monday morning, Maryland-National Capital Park police were called to the scene of an overturned SUV on the Washington, Baltimore, and Annapolis Trail where it goes underneath the 8600 block of Race Track Road after someone reported hearing screams. Brandon Barnes, 23, of Lanham was pronounced dead at the scene, and DeAndra Jones of Lanham, 25, was airlifted in critical condition to the shock trauma center at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, where she is in grave condition. Neither was wearing a helmet.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNClarence H. Pistorius was riding a four-wheeler in eastern South Dakota at about 8 p.m. on a rural street when his tires lost traction on the shoulder of the road and rolled. The 700-pound machine pinned him underneath, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the vehicle was speeding at the time of the accident and that Pistorius was not wearing a helmet.

Tampa-St. Petersburg, FL10-year-old Chad Andrews was driving a miniature dirt bike west on 20th Street East, but failed to stop at the stop sign at 2nd Avenue East and drove right into the side of a southbound Honda motorcycle driven by Daniel Kendrick, 43. Andrews was thrown from his bike and critically injured; he remains in critical condition at Bayfront Medical Center. Kendrick and his passenger Tameashia Robinson, 31, both sustained serious injuries and were taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital. None of the people involved were wearing helmets at the time.
