More than a dozen Riverview Garden students were on a school bus that crashed in south St. Louis Wednesday morning. Authorities say the wreck happened near the intersection of Interstate 55 and Gasconade around 8:30 a.m. Police say about 20 students were onboard the bus, but none were injured. The student were on their way to the Mehlville School District.

Emergency officials responded to a deadly crash in Surry County Tuesday afternoon. The crash was reported around 1:15 p.m. on Poplar Springs Road near Timberbrook Trail east of State Road. Surry County EMS Director John Shelton said the crash was fatal and involved one car. No other information has been released. As of 2 p.m., Surry County emergency crews were responding to four crashes, three of which reportedly involved personal injury or entrapment. It's unclear if any other crashes are weather-related.

An SUV ran off icy Interstate 94 Tuesday morning on the western edge of St. Paul and crashed, leaving the driver dead, authorities said. The crash occurred about 7:35 a.m. on westbound I-94 soon after the SUV left southbound Hwy. 280, according to the State Patrol. The man behind the wheel has been identified as Uriel Isodoro 29. The patrol described the interstate as ice-covered at the time.

Dense fog could be to blame in a fatal motorcycle crash on Monday in west Liberty County, officials said. The crash occurred about 7 a.m. on FM 1960 at CR 611 near Dayton, according to the Liberty County Sheriff's Office. Deputies said preliminary information indicates an 18-wheeler was turning off CR 611 onto FM 1960 when the motorcyclist, who was traveling west on 1960, collided with the center of the truck's trailer. Deputies said fog was heavy in the area at the time of the crash, reducing visibility to less than about 100 feet.

An icy road caused a driver in Perryville to crash into a CSX train early Thursday morning, the Cecil County Sheriff's Office reported. The driver, later identified as Patti Pucci 18, was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with unknown injuries after the crash, which was reported at 6:55 a.m. at the Jackson Station Road crossing just outside the town of Perryville, Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. Michael Holmes said. The driver was in a Hyundai Sonata. No further details about the driver were immediately available.

Downed power lines closed a road in Swatara Township in Lebanon County for more than an hour after an SUV crashed into a utility pole earlier Wednesday, state police said. Neither the 17-year-old female driver nor the 16-year-old male passenger of the 1998 Ford Ranger were seriously injured in the crash, which police said took place around 9 a.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Greble Road in Lebanon.

Two people have been killed in a rollover crash off an icy highway in central Iowa. The Iowa State Patrol says the accident occurred around 7:15 a.m. Tuesday on icy U.S. Highway 30 just west of Le Grand. The patrol says 41-year-old William Baugh, of Corrales, N.M., was driving when he lost control of his car on the ice. The car rolled into a ditch on the south side of the highway, and Baugh and his passenger were killed. The passenger was identified as 45-year-old Frederick Cowder, of Plant City, Fla.

A 22-year-old Maple Grove man died Saturday in a snowmobile crash in north-central Minnesota, authorities said. According to a statement from the Todd County Sheriff’s Office released Sunday: Authorities received a report of a missing man at 11:23 a.m. Saturday. Friends of Jared Wallenfelsz said they had last seen him driving a snowmobile away from his family’s cabin on Long Lake about 1:30 a.m. that morning.

A woman and her 1-year-old child were injured in a three-vehicle crash in Union County Thursday afternoon. Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the crash involving two passenger vehicles and a semi on state Route 31, just south of state Route 739, at about 2:40 p.m.

Four people were rescued from a tugboat that capsized off Long Island, just moments before the vessel sunk into the water. The 38-foot towing vessel Sea Lion started taking on water south of Atlantic Beach, and the Coast Guard was called to rescue the four boaters on board, a spokeswoman said. Two pilot boats were nearby at the scene and were able to rescue the mariners. The assistant chief of the Atlantic Beach Rescue Squad, said the boat "started going down like a rocket" minutes after he arrived.
