Donald Jeffries, 50, of Goshen was traveling east on Highway 36 around 11:30 a.m. when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with a westbound vehicle driven by Stephen Wise. Jeffries, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by ambulance to the Carroll County Memorial Hospital. Wise, 35, was flown to University of Louisville Hospital. Nicole Wise, a 34 year-old passenger traveling with Stephen Wise was transported by helicopter to University of Louisville Hospital. A juvenile passenger in Wise’s vehicle was flown to Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies say alcohol was a factor in an early morning crash that injured three people. The crash occurred about 2:40 a,m on Kellogg Avenue as Steve Wayne Taulbee, 22, was driving east, Hamilton County deputies said. Taulbee changed lanes to the left and lost control of his 1995 Honda Accord. The car left the road and its left side struck a wall, the Honda then bounced off the wall and the front left corner hit a utility pole. Taulbee, of New Richmond, and two passengers in his back seat were injured, deputies aid.

Investigators believe a fatal car accident discovered in the 25800 block of East River Road near Otis Orchards at 4 p.m. today actually occurred around 7 p.m. Wednesday. A 911 caller reported seeing a car about 150 feet down an embankment on the north side of the Spokane River and what appeared to be a body near the car. It appears that the driver was heading east when the car went down the embankment and rolled multiple times. The woman, later identified as Jordyn Bouquet, 23, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected.

A helicopter airlifted a 23-year-old man to St. Joseph Hospital Tuesday afternoon when a Jeep crashed about 200 feet over an embankment near the Mt. Baker Ski Area. The driver, Taylor Armstrong, 23, over-corrected the Jeep at a left curve in the road, about a mile from the nearest lodge, while coming down from the mountain around 3:35 p.m. One of the passengers, Paul Davis,23, from Normandy Park, didn't have a seatbelt on and was thrown from the Jeep about halfway down. He was airlifted to the Bellingham hospital.

A woman has died following a head-on crash near Simpsonville. According to state troopers, the wreck happened around 11:25 a.m. Saturday- on E. Georgia Road just outside Simpsonville city limits. Investigators said Joyce Mahaffey's, 70, vehicle crossed the center line, causing it to hit another vehicle head-on. State troopers said she was not wearing a seat belt and died at the hospital a short time after the crash. The driver was the only person in the second vehicle and was not injured.

An Inola man died in a Rogers County crash Friday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports. Brian Rogers, 41, was killed about 2:20 a.m. on State Highway 88 at Country Ridge Lane. Rogers was driving north when he drove off the roadway and overturned. He did not wear a seat belt and was ejected. Rogers was dead at the scene.

Two men were injured when their pickup truck went off Blaine Road, sliding into a ditch and hitting an embankment early Monday, Feb. 3. David L. Rebman, 43, was driving a 1975 pickup truck southbound on Blaine Road toward Shipyard Road when it veered off the road about 12:08 a.m. Rebman and passenger Colin J. Golden, 25, were transported to St. Joseph hospital. Rebman was treated and discharged, and Golden remained hospitalized in stable condition as of Monday. Golden was not wearing a seatbelt. It was unclear if Rebman wore a seat belt.

A man is dead after an ATV accident in Marble Falls on Saturday. Officials say a man in his early 30s was involved in an accident at Hidden Falls Adventure Park. He was driving around with his son and friends in a homemade ATV-type vehicle when he was involved in an accident. Officials say the man was partially ejected from the ATV and it landed on his chest, pinning him under. When the Marble Falls Volunteer Fire Department arrived, they pronounced him dead at the scene. Firefighters say the man was not wearing a seatbelt.

A Maple Falls woman died after crashing her car into an embankment off Mount Baker Highway early Thursday, Jan. 30. Ashleigh N. Graham, 27, was driving west in the 8700 block of the highway at about 12:40 a.m. when her 1988 Honda Civic went off the right side of the road, struck an embankment and came to rest in a deep ditch. A passerby spotted the car and called 911. Graham was pronounced dead at the scene. She wasn't wearing a seatbelt. Troopers suspect that she was driving too fast for the conditions. The Mount Baker Highway has a long history of accidents and fatalities.

Two people died in a Mayes County crash Wednesday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports. Benjamin M. Morgan, 20, of Peggs, the driver of a car, and passenger Evelyn M. Hays, 43, of Peggs, both died in a head-on collision with a pickup about 6:20 p.m. Wednesday on State Highway 82 about 3.7 miles south of Locust Grove, the patrol reports. Morgan was driving north on SH 82 when a pickup driven south by Cooper S. Day, 47, of Tahlequah, tried to pass another vehicle that was turning right onto a private drive. Day's pickup struck Morgan's car head-on, the patrol reports.
