Huntsville-Decatur, ALJohana Vargas, 2, died Tuesday from her injuries she received in a car crash on Sept. 6. Authorities say she was not in a child restraint when the crash happened. Authorities said Juan Carlo Vargas, 27, and Anna Vargas, 40, the child’s parents, and Gael Vargas, 3, were injured in the crash. The family was traveling in a Jeep Compass that crashed with a Ford F-150 truck driven by Allen Cole Pickens, 63. Pickens and a passenger in his truck, Karen Pickens, 58, also of Mount Hope, were taken to Russellville Hospital.

Dothan, ALThe fatal crash happened at 6:55 p.m. on Geneva County Road 89 east of Geneva. Zyrioh Tucker died when the Chevrolet Avalanche she was riding in exited the roadway and rolled. Tucker was not in a car seat and was pronounced deceased at the crash site. The driver of the Avalanche, 32-year-old Starlea Knight, was taken to a local hospital, where she is listed in critical condition. The seven other occupants of the vehicle were taken to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Montgomery-Selma, ALIt was approximately 3:50 p.m. when 30-year-old Floridalma Ramos Morales was driving a car north on U.S. 31, and collided head-on with a pickup truck. Morales' son, identified as Darwin Sarceno, 4, was not properly buckled in and was thrown from the vehicle. Both him and his mother have been pronounced dead. A 1-year-old, 5-year-old, 12-year-old, and woman that were in the pickup truck were transported to various hospitals with potentially critical injuries.
