19-year-old Dominic Lee, a well known Osceola High School football player, was driving a pickup truck with four other passengers east on U.S. Highway 192 at about 4:20 a.m., when he seems to have lost control for unknown reasons. His truck careened across the median into the westbound lanes where it overturned and rolled multiple times. A few of the passengers were thrown from the vehicle during the rolling, including Lee, who was confirmed to not be wearing a seat belt at the time.

It was approximately 4:10 a.m. when a 17-year-old girl who was driving south on U.S. 19 somehow lost control of her vehicle, and it began to roll. The girl, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle, which came to rest at the intersection with Frontage Road. She was taken to the hospital with injuries described as "major".

Preston Webster was the driver of a vehicle that rolled over at about 3:40 a.m. on Courtland Boulevard and Clewiston Street in Deltona. Webster was pronounced dead at the scene, while two 14-year-old passengers were taken to nearby hospitals. Jacob Hurd was airlifted to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, and Pedro Castro was also transported to Arnold Palmer after being treated at Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford.

Camille M. Headrick-Long was driving a car on Little Road just north of Poe Road when she lost control of her vehicle and spun off the road, hitting a ditch and overturning several times. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was thrown from the vehicle when it rolled. She was taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point with critical injuries and died several days later.
