The car reportedly struck a light pole on a median before ending up back in traffic and on top of a Mercedes-Benz.

The crash occurred about 12:35 a.m. when a 2013 Hyundai Genesis traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed on Camino Real near the intersection of Sanibel Drive left the road, Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office deputies said.

Five dead and five injured in Boca Raton crash

The driver and two other people that were in the Hyundai died on the scene, while five other rear passengers were transported to local hospital with serious injuries.

Three teens killed, five others critically injured in Boca Raton car crash

They say six young passengers were in the backseat of the car when the driver veered across the median, slammed into a concrete pole, and rolled into oncoming traffic. Two other people traveling westbound were killed in the collision.
