State troopers have identified the woman killed and teenager critically injured Friday night when they was struck by a car while crossing San Jose Boulevard in Mandarin.

The Florida Highway Patrol said 57-year-old Esther Benzohar Ohayon and her daughter were trying to cross at Haley Road about 8 p.m. The 16-year-old, Orly Ohayon, was transported to UF Health at Jacksonville in critical condition.

A 24-year-old Broward County man has been identified as the driver in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a 53-year-old bicyclist Friday morning, city police said. Traffic homicide investigators said Jeffrey Camenzuli of Coral Springs was driving a 2013 Kia shortly before 5 a.m. when he struck a man riding a bicycle. The crash happened in the 6300 block of Glades Road, near Jog Road, police said. The injured bicyclist was identified as Mario Sgroia of Boca Raton. He was rushed to Delray Medical Center with serious injuries.

An 87-year-old woman died Thursday night after injuries from a car accident that afternoon.

Pricilla S. Nitzberg of Boynton Beach was pronounced dead around 11:30 p.m., at Delray Medical Center more than eight hours after the crash. The accident happened at the intersection of South Military Trail and Pipers Glen Blvd. in Delray Beach.

Nitzberg attempted to make a left turn from North Military Trail onto Pipers Glen when another car headed south on Military Trail hit into the passenger side of her car. Ana Araujo-Gabaldon, the driver of the other car, had minor injuries.

A woman was hit and killed early Thursday morning on the Westside, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the 65-year-old woman was in the crosswalk just before 6 a.m. when she was struck by a pickup truck driven by a 34-year-old woman.

All northbound lanes of Blanding Boulevard were closed at 103rd Street because of the crash, although drivers heading east on 103rd can turn north onto Blanding.

Troopers expected the lanes to be closed for at least two hours.

The identities of those involved were not released Thursday morning.

A fatal crash in Volusia County Thursday morning is under investigation by Florida Highway Patrol.

According to an FHP press release, at 3:50 a.m., John Pearce, Jr., 23, lost control of his vehicle traveling westbound on New York Avenue.

The 2008 Dodge pickup truck struck a culvert and became airborne before the front of the truck struck a tree, troopers said.

Police say that Pearce, a DeLand resident, died on scene; it is not known whether the driver was under the influence of alcohol.

A man who was involved in a car crash jumped off an overpass onto Interstate 95 and died on Thursday, Florida Highway Patrol says.

Troopers said the man was involved in a three-vehicle crash on I-95 in Volusia County just after 7 a.m.

When troopers got on scene, they saw the man get out of one of the vehicles, run over to the Dunn Avenue overpass in Daytona Beach and jump onto the I-95 shoulder, according to FHP.

The man, who has not been identified, died at the scene.

Police are investigating a crash that left one man dead and three others seriously injured Thursday night in Osceola. Officials say the accident happened at approximately 7:22 p.m. on U.S. 192. According to a report, Christina Johnson, 25, was driving east on U.S. 192 approaching Deer Park Road when for an unknown reason she lost control, and crossed over the median and into the westbound lanes, traveling directly into the path of an oncoming vehicle.

All lanes are now open after a fatal motorcycle crash snarled southbound traffic on Interstate 95 for more than three hours.

One person was killed when a motorcycle collided with a car on southbound I-95, just north of the Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard exit, said a spokesman for the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash left traffic backed up to Blue Heron Boulevard.

Authorites were still trying tonight to contact family of the person who died and have not released the person’s name.

A deadly accident shut down the southbound lanes on Interstate 75 near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Hillsborough County late Tuesday evening. The roadway was closed early Wednesday morning for a clean up. It reopened around 6 a.m. A Hillsborough County Fire Rescue Public Information Officer says the accident involved at least six vehicles including a tractor trailer.

Three people were hurt after two vehicles and a train hauling sugar cane were involved in a crash Tuesday morning, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.

The wreck occurred at about 8:17 a.m. in the 35500 block of State Route 80 near Hatton Highway.

When rescue crews arrived, one vehicle was still on the tracks and all railway traffic was stopped for safety.

Seven people were evaluated by firefighters, and three were transported to hospitals for further treatment.
