Gerald Anthony Mohs, 57, arrested for DUI after head-on crash kills William Siems, 9, and leaves Amber Bishop, 29, and Jeramiya Bishop, 7, injured in Rochester, Minnesota

The suspect fled on foot after the crash and was arrested about two hours later near the Paragon Chateau movie theater in northeast Rochester, about 5 miles from the scene of the accident. Authorities believe the 57-year-old Rochester man was under the influence of alcohol, says Sgt. Dan Monnet. A 29-year-old woman and two juvenile passengers transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys Campus for treatment; the extent of their injuries is unknown.

Kristen J. Boynton, 24, and Kerry Schulz, 34, killed; Charles Goode, 24, David Schulz, 38, and a 12-year-old and 9-year-old injured in accident near Fulda, Minnesota

The Minnesota State Patrol says two people have died in a car crash that also injured at least three people. A 12-year-old and 9-year-old from Worthington sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The driver of their vehicle, David Schulz, was seriously injured and was taken to a Robbinsdale hospital. 

Casey M. Lantz, 31, dies in motorcycle accident in Chisholm, Minnesota

Casey M. Lantz was fatally injured when the motorcycle he was riding swerved into a ditch. Both Lantz and his passenger, Jessica C. Lantz, 32, were thrown from the motorcycle. Both were taken to a local hospital where Casey Lantz was declared dead, and Jessica Lantz was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Neither rider was wearing a helmet.

Matthew Radloff, 41, killed and Jesse Stewart, 28, Andrew Peterson, 20, injured in fatal 3-vehicle crash in Forest Lake, Minnesota

At least one person is dead after a crash in Forest Lake on Friday. According to the State Patrol, a 2001 BMW Z3 was driving eastbound on Highway 97 at Iden Avenue and crossed the center line, hitting a westbound GMC Sierra on the side, and finally hitting a westbound 2013 Chevrolet Silverado head-on.

Lee A. Elj, 30, injured after crashing motorcycle into ditch near Virginia, MN

Kerry Johnson, 52, injured after losing control of motorcycle in wet road conditions near Moorhead, MN

Brothers Mark O. Schultz and Steven J. Schultz, 51, killed following small-plane crash in Montevideo, Minnesota

Authorities say a small airplane crashed at around 3:45 p.m. in a soybean field soon after takeoff in western Minnesota, killing the two brothers aboard. Mark Schultz, of Sleepy Eye, MN, was a vice president at First Security Bank in Sleepy Eye, the bank stated.

Robert Steven Bentz, 59, killed in accident on hayride west of Willmar, Minnesota

A 59-year-old  Robert Steven Bentzwas was killed Saturday in a hayride accident for a birthday party. A tractor was pulling two hayracks joined together. Bentz fell between the hayracks and was run over by the second hayrack after apparently attempting to move from the first hayrack to the second. Bentz died at the scene. 

Cesar I. Canton, 33, killed in motorcycle accident on Ikea Way near Mall of America

Cesar I. Canton, 33, of Minneapolis, crashed Friday on a road close to the Mall of America, and died on the way to the hospital, authorities said.

Kathryn Robinson, 64, dead after head-on crash with dump truck in Chaska, Minnesota

The dump truck driver, Justin Peabody, 25, attempted an evasive maneuver, but couldn't avoid the crash. Robinson was declared dead at the scene. No alcohol was detected, and it remains a mystery why Robinson crossed into the oncoming lanes.
