A Fair Grove man has died after he was involved in a crash early Wednesday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, David E. Speake, 74, was driving east on KK Highway north of Springfield when his car slid off the road and struck an embankment.
The crash occurred at 9:30 a.m., and Speake was taken to Mercy Hospital with serious injuries. He was pronounced dead at 9:14 p.m. According to the crash report, Speake was not wearing a seat belt.
A Walnut Grove man died Wednesday after he was involved in a crash Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Shane L. Lutz, 30, was a passenger in a 2000 Chrysler Sebring traveling south on Farm Road 173, about 8 miles north of Springfield. The car slid off the left side of the road and struck a culvert.
Amanda M. Lutz, 31, was the driver, the patrol said in a report.
The crash occurred at 3:30 p.m. and both Amanda Lutz and Shane Lutz were taken to Mercy Hospital with serious injuries. Shane Lutz was pronounced dead the next day at 7:37 a.m.
Two tractor trailers and car collide on snowy I-70 causing delays and back-ups in St. Charles County
All lanes of Interstate 70 near Foristell are closed following a weather-related accident Tuesday afternoon.
Missouri State Highway Patrol is handling an accident on the westbound lanes of I-70 and Highway T involving two tractor trailers and a passenger vehicle shortly before 2 p.m.
The interstate was shut down as crews worked to clear the scene.

One person hospitalized after a multi-vehicle wreck involving a truck on Interstate 64 in west St. Louis Tuesday morning.
Officials say a truck slammed into a median on westbound I-64 near Big Bend Blvd. around 6:15 a.m. The driver was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
Two left lanes of the interstate were closed while crews cleaned up the scene. They were back open by about 6:45 a.m.

Three persons were injured in a two-vehicle accident about 2 p.m. Thursday at 39th Street and Little Blue Parkway in Independence after a brief police chase.
Before the wreck, a motorist called 911 and reported seeing the driver of another vehicle assaulting a female passenger. The female tried to get out of the vehicle as it traveled along Noland Road. Officers tried to pull over the vehicle as it continued east on 39th Street, but the driver refused, said a police spokesman.
More than a dozen Riverview Garden students were on a school bus that crashed in south St. Louis Wednesday morning. Authorities say the wreck happened near the intersection of Interstate 55 and Gasconade around 8:30 a.m. Police say about 20 students were onboard the bus, but none were injured. The student were on their way to the Mehlville School District.
A Franklin County man is dead after being ejected from a vehicle during a crash late Friday night.
Authorities said Bryce Frankenberg, 27, lost control of his SUV, the SUV rolled and then he was ejected from the vehicle. After being ejected, the SUV struck a tree and caught fire.
Frankenberg was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The accident happened around 11:30 p.m. on Whiskey Creek Road, just west of Cedar Lane.
An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.

Two right lanes were closed, and traffic at one point was backed up to at least Mid Rivers Mall Dr. The interstate re-opened about 7:45 a.m.
