One person was in critical condition after a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning that shut down Interstate 25 in Albuquerque, police said.

It appeared the car hit the median on southbound I-25 near the Comanche exit around 2 a.m., police said.

The driver was taken to University Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

Interstate 25 reopened just before 4 a.m., police said.

A man was taken to the hospital Friday morning after police said he crashed into a power pole near University and Gibson.

Authorities are investigating a fatal crash that happened Friday morning on Montgomery Boulevard east of Carlisle Boulevard. Albuquerque police said a car hit and killed a 90-year-old man in the area around 7:30 a.m. The pedestrian did not cross at the crosswalk or use a traffic signal, according to police. Albuquerque police closed eastbound lanes of Montgomery Boulevard from Carlisle Boulevard to Jefferson Street. Police fully reopened Montgomery just before 11 a.m. The name of the pedestrian killed has not been released.

Five people have been transported to the hospital, including one woman who was airlifted due to serious injuries, after a head-on collision on I-40 about 13 miles west of Albuquerque according to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office. One lane is open on westbound I-40 while the Laguna Police Department investigates the incident that occurred Friday afternoon, according to a BCSO spokesman.

A three-vehicle crash sent a motorcyclist to the hospital with injuries Thursday.

Officers and paramedics are at the scene of the crash near Louisiana Boulevard and Constitution Avenue.

All traffic through the intersection has been closed except for one southbound lane. Drivers should expect delays as the crash is investigated and the scene is cleaned up.

The motorcyclist was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

Westbound traffic from Fourth Street to Eighth Street down was shut down Tuesday morning, but the lanes have reopened.

Albuquerque police have identifed the pedestrian hit on Thursday as Theresa McRae, 67. She was last reported to be in critical condition. Eastbound Lomas has been closed at Broadway because of a collision involving a pedestrian. The pedestrian, who was hit by a car, has been taken to an area hospital and is in critical condition, according to police. Motorists in the area should expect delays while officers investigate.

Police say a pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Tuesday night in Albuquerque.

The collision happened at 8:39 p.m. The victim was walking across the northbound side of Coors Road near its intersection with Interstate 40

Police closed off the Coors northbound ramp as they searched for evidence.

A description of the vehicle that struck the victim has not been released.

A pedestrian was killed Thursday night on Rio Bravo near Coors. Preliminary investigation reports that just before 8:30 p.m.Phillip Cutler was driving South on Coors in the inside lane. Eric Martin was also driving South in the middle lane, according to an email this morning from Albuquerque Police Department. A pedestrian in dark clothing was jaywalking westbound across the southbound lanes of Coors.
