A pedestrian was killed Thursday night on Rio Bravo near Coors.
A pedestrian was killed Thursday night on Rio Bravo near Coors.
Preliminary investigation reports that just before 8:30 p.m.Phillip Cutler was driving South on Coors in the inside lane. Eric Martin was also driving South in the middle lane, according to an email this morning from Albuquerque Police Department.
A pedestrian in dark clothing was jaywalking westbound across the southbound lanes of Coors.
Eric Martin’s vehicle struck Phillip Cutler’s vehicle in the rear causing his vehicle to rollover. The pedestrian passed away due to injuries sustained in the collision. Phillip Cutler had to be extracted from his vehicle by AFD.
Eric Martin and Phillip Cutler suffered minor injuries. Preliminary investigation indicates pedestrian error.
OMI was unable to find any form of identification on the victim. OMI will continue efforts to identify the victim and notify next of kin.
