Authorities are investigating a fatal crash that happened Friday morning on Montgomery Boulevard east of Carlisle Boulevard.

Albuquerque police said a car hit and killed a 90-year-old man in the area around 7:30 a.m. The pedestrian did not cross at the crosswalk or use a traffic signal, according to police.
Albuquerque police closed eastbound lanes of Montgomery Boulevard from Carlisle Boulevard to Jefferson Street. Police fully reopened Montgomery just before 11 a.m.
The name of the pedestrian killed has not been released.
Police said their preliminary investigation revealed that the driver din't have enough time to stop or avoid the pedestrian.
