A crash on Sunday along U.S. 59 killed a young Splendora couple and injured their two daughters. Killed in the Sunday crash along U.S. 59 were Splendora firefighter and his wife, Shea Frazier.

It was just before 12:00 a.m. when Dontavius Marquez King was driving his SUV away from a crash with a Lincoln Town Car, and he lost control and crashed his car into a church on Norris Street, where it overturned. Despite there being three children in the vehicle, ages 1, 3, and 5, King left the scene of the crash to seek treatment for his own injuries. The children were eventually found and taken to the hospital; the 3-year-old had critical injuries but is now in stable condition, and the two other children were not seriously hurt.

A Loranger man was booked with vehicular homicide and other charges Friday night following a single vehicle crash in Tangipahoa Parish that killed his passenger. Steve Savoie, 28, was arrested and booked in the Tangipahoa Parish Jail in Amite with careless operation of a motor vehicle, hit and run, suspended license and vehicular homicide in an accident that claimed the life of 35-year-old Adam Capdeboscq from Husser, La. The accident happened around 7:50 p.m. on Louisiana 443 north of U.S. 190 when Savoie lost control of the 1997 Dodge pickup truck he was driving at high speed.

DeAngelis, of Winneconne, was stopped at a train crossing when a vehicle driven by Ronnfeldt struck him from behind. His car rolled over and he was declared dead at the scene. Ronnfeldt subsequently fled and was discoverd by police hiding behind a tree, after which he failed a sobriety test.

Leslie W. Thurow hit a state trooper during a traffic stop near St. Charles Road. She tried to flee the scene but hit another car and caused it to roll over. In that car was seven family members who all sustained serious injuries and were taken to local hospitals. The family consisted of a 37-year old woman, a 43-year old man, a 3-year old boy, a 73-year old woman, an 83-year old man, an 11-year old girl and a 13-year old boy. Thurow was ordered held on $450,000 bail in bond court Sunday.
