It was about 4:30 p.m. when a strong thunderstorm with high winds ravaged Mobile Bay, unfortunately at the same time the Daphin Island Regatta sailboat race was taking place. Of the 119 boats involved in the race, the storm capsized ten of them. So far three bodies have been found and confirmed dead, including: Kris Beall, 27, William Glenn Massey, 67, and Robert Delaney, 72. Four other people are still missing, and search crews continue to scan the area.

A fatal accident occurred at 4:30 a.m. along Charter Way, near Stockton Street Thursday morning. A commercial tractor trailer and a Toyota Tundra crashed, and the driver of the Toyota was ejected from the vehicle. The driver of the Toyota, Justin Lee Baker of Concord, was pronounced deceased at the crash site. Very heavy fog was in the area and appears to be a factor in the crash. All lanes of Highway 4 are blocked as authorities investigate the fatal crash.

Brittney Milton, 21, and Kenneth Cheatom, 35, as the two who died in a single-vehicle collision Sunday in Wyoming at 2:10 a.m. on 28th Street. Milton was driving a 2005 Pontiac G6 when the car hit a curb, exited the road and hit a utility pole, flipping the vehicle over. Milton and Cheatom, both Wyoming residents, later died of their injuries. It is thought that weather was a contributing factor. What every family needs to know about wrongful death claims

The driver of a pickup truck was attempting to pass a tractor-trailer in heavy fog on State Route 548 early Tuesday when he plowed head-on into an oncoming car, killing himself and the 18-year-old woman driving the car, the Washington State Patrol said. The pickup truck was being driven by Wesley B. Martin, 39, of Gautier, Miss.  He was dead at the scene, the State Patrol said. Martin was driving eastbound on SR 548 east of Kickerville Road when he attempted to pass a semi in heavy fog, the State Patrol said.
