Two people have died after a crash Wednesday morning along Highway 49 in Springfield near Louis Draughon Road.
The crash was reported just after 5 a.m. when a 2003 Chevrolet Impala drifted into the path of an oncoming tractor trailer that was hauling concrete slabs, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
The passenger in the car, 25-year-old Ventrell Blakemore, of Springfield, was deceased when crews arrived to the scene.
The driver, 41-year-old Antonio Crawford, of Madison, was flown to an area hospital, but he died later in the day.
One person has died after a head-on crash Monday morning in Murfreesboro. The crash was reported before noon near the intersection of Old Nashville Highway and Amanda Way.
A witness was inside her house when she heard a horrible collision.
She ran outside to see two damaged vehicles, including an SUV with six women inside that ended up flipped upside-down in her front yard.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 60-year-old Alvin H. Dudley was driving a 2000 Plymouth Grand Voyager van that crossed the center line, struck a ditch and overturned before coming to a rest on its wheels.
Dudley was not wearing a seat belt, according to THP investigators.

A Woodlawn man has died after a crash on Wednesday afternoon in Montgomery County.
The crash was reported about 2 p.m. in the 2200 block of Outlaw Road just outside Clarksville.
George Stiles Sr., 83, was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban eastbound when the vehicle veered off the road, hit a stone wall, rolled over and came to a rest upside-down in a field, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
THP investigators said Stiles was not wearing a seat belt.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
A Mt. Juliet man has died after a two-vehicle crash Monday evening east of downtown Nashville.
The crash was reported about 5 p.m. along Murfreesboro Pike near Foster Avenue.
Police said Thomas Finn, 47, of Mt. Juliet, was driving a 2004 Dodge Caravan when his vehicle struck the rear of a Pontiac G6 that was stopped for a red light at the intersection.
Finn and the driver of the Pontiac, 23-year-old Hillary Fink, of Kansas City, MO, were both transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where Finn died.
Fink was not critically injured in the crash.
There were no survivors following a plane crash Monday afternoon near the YMCA in Bellevue, according to the Nashville Fire Department.
The crash was reported about 5 p.m. off Highway 100 near Temple Road.
The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed that the crash involved a Gulfstream 690C airplane that was on approach to John C. Tune Airport in north Nashville, according to the preliminary investigation.
The plane was registered to a company out of Kansas and had departed Great Bend Municipal Airport in Great Bend, KS.

Tyler Carl Wilsdorf, 23, of Dadeville, AL, tried to make a U-turn near mile marker 4 when he got stuck in the median around 11:45 p.m. Sunday, according to the THP report.
Troopers say they don't think Wilsdorf knew he was walking out onto the interstate when he tried to flag down help and was hit by a car that was heading east.
The driver of the vehicle is not facing criminal charges.
