Highway 74

 

 

Sgt. Jeffrey Greene, a Union County deputy, was stopped in his patrol car in a turn lane at an intersection when a tractor-trailer rolled over onto the car in a freak accident. The incident happened at about 7:30 a.m. on Highway 74 in Monroe. 

 

 

Glenn Nelson, of Twin Falls was driving a pickup westbound on Highway 74 when it went across the lanes, off the roadway and overturned about 5:45 p.m. Saturday.

Wadesboro Police are investigating a deadly Christmas Day crash.

Investigators say a Volkswagon driving westbound on Highway 74 in Anson County crossed the line and hit a Dodge Intrepid going eastbound head-on at about 4:01 p.m. Several people were hurt and a baby died.
