A devastating single-vehicle collision on Matt Highway claimed three lives Saturday evening in what authorities are describing as a tragic loss for the community. The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office reported that the crash occurred around 5:30 p.m.

Natalie Barnard, 20 and Rachel Beckstrom, 19, were involvied in the crash on Matt Highway Friday afternoon, which occurred when a car driven by Barnard was crushed by a tractor-trailer as she was pulling out of a driveway. Natalie was killed and Beckstrom suffered serious injuries.
