State Road 13

Shortly before 6:00pm, 14-year-old Pierce Resler was walking with three other people on State Road 13 when he for some reason stepped into the roadway, and into the path of a vehicle driven by Zachary Moran, 19.

Troopers say the vehicle was traveling northbound on State Road 13, also known as San Jose Blvd. and was in the outside right turn lane. As the vehicle was traveling in the outside turn lane, it traveled off the roadway to the left. Investigators say the left side of the car collided with a tree.
