State Road 16

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a serious crash on State Road 16 in the area of Lewis Speedway. A spokesman with FHP said two SUVs struck each other head-on around 10 p.m.

A 65-year-old man was killed Saturday morning after a crash on State Road 16.

According to reports, Marie Wood Dean, 44, was traveling east down SR 16 in her 1996 Mercury Cougar with her 10-year-old son in the passenger's seat when she attempted to make a left turn.
