William M. Cook, 45, killed in motorcycle collision on East-West Connector in Austell, Georgia
Austell man killed after his motorcycle strikes car
The crash happened just after 1 p.m. Sunday when a white 1999 Ford Taurus heading eastbound turned left onto northbound Lipson Drive into the path of a yellow 1996 Honda CBR 600 motorcycle heading west on the East-West Connector.
Since motorcycle crashes often end in serious injuries, victims need immediate help
Motorcycle accidents are more likely to end in serious injuries or death for the motorcyclist, since the rider is not protected from the force of a collision. When a motorcycle accident happens, the injured rider needs immediate, appropriate medical care, the accident needs to be investigated, and the insurance companies need to be informed.
When a motorcycle crash is caused by negligence, additional steps need to be taken to protect the legal rights of the injured motorcyclist or the family members of someone killed in a motorcycle crash. Go here to learn more about motorcycle accidents and claims.
