State Route 56

A 19-month-old boy and a 24-year-old man were killed in a single-vehicle crash in Athens County Friday afternoon. According to the Athens Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash involved one vehicle along state Route 56 in Athens County at about 12:44 p.m.

Three people were hospitalized with major injuries sustained in a multi-vehicle collision on eastbound state Route 56 Friday evening.

The collision occurred near Black Mountain Road, just south of Rancho Penasquitos, around 8:20 p.m., a California Highway Patrol dispatcher said.
