A man was standing in front of his Nissan outside of a Thai restaurant on Western Avenue in Gardena when he started the vehicle remotely. The car was unfortunately left in gear, so when it was started it ran over its owner and smashed into the restaurant.
A woman was killed after crashing her car into a parked vehicle in the Koreatown area of Los Angeles Sunday morning.
Police say the woman was speeding southbound on Western Avenue when she lost control of her Mercedes SUV and hit the parked vehicle around 5 a.m.
Western Avenue was closed to traffic in both directions near Sahara following a fatal crash Thursday involving a motorcycle and vehicle.
The crash happened around 2:10 p.m. According to Metro Police, the motorcyclist was speeding and doing a wheelie on the wrong side of the road.
