A Birmingham woman killed in a Thursday afternoon car crash in St. Clair County has been identified, authorities say.

Troopers have identified the victim as Tawana Rochelle Whitaker, 36, of Birmingham. They say she was killed when her 2011 Ford Mustang collided with a large delivery truck. Whitaker was not wearing a seat belt. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Rochelle Whitaker was driving on I-20 at around 1:15 pm when her car collided with a car driven by 65-year-old Edward Chas Gladney. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
