Man killed when tractor collides with pickup in Winston County

A Nauvoo man was killed when his tractor crashed into a pickup truck Wednesday afternoon. The crash happened at 5:26 p.m. near the 12-mile marker Alabama 195 about 8 miles south of Double Springs. Kenneth R. Carroll Jr., 57, was pronounced dead at the scene. His Mahindra tractor collided with a 1999 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by 50-year-old Shelley Kaye Gree, of Double Springs. No further information has been released as Alabama state troopers continue to investigate.
