Authorities on Monday released the identity of a woman killed early Sunday in Hoover.

A 23-year-old woman died and two men were injured in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday, according to a Hoover police spokesman.

Hoover police and fire department officials responded to the crash, which occurred around 5 a.m. on I-65 South just past Alford Avenue.
A Ford Escape left the right side of the road, hit an embankment and overturned, said a Hoover police spokesman.
The woman, a passenger in the SUV, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released. The driver and another passenger were taken to UAB Hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening.
UPDATE: The victim has been identified as Kathleen Mouat McCormack. 12/09/13.
