A two-car crash on Highway 69 near Jasper claimed two lives on Monday night. Alabama State Troopers say 34-year-old Jeremy Philips of Cordova died when the truck he was driving collided head on with another truck around 9:15 p.m.

An elderly Chelsea woman was killed Saturday in a two-vehicle crash in Shelby County. Alabama State Troopers tonight identified the woman as 85-year-old Margaret Pate. Pate was a passenger in a vehicle that collided with another, troopers said.
