Hurtsboro woman killed in single-car accident in Lee Co.

LEE COUNTY, AL (WTVM) - A Hurtsboro woman was killed during a single-car accident on Friday morning. The accident remains under investigation by the State Troopers of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and the Lee County Coroner’s Office. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Lee County Deputy Coroner Charlotte Patterson. At approximately 6:10 a.m. on Friday, EMS and law enforcement responded to a single vehicle accident in the 9000 block of Alabama Highway 51 in Beauregard south of Opelika. Upon arrival they found Lawanda Yvonne Kelley, 35, of Hurtsboro, with no signs of life.
