Alcohol was not suspected to be a factor in the crash. 

Motorcycle driver killed in collision with SUV in Opelika(link is external)

Lee County Coroner Bill Harris identified the deceased motorcycle driver, the only one on the bike, as 43-year-old Christopher Collins of Opelika.
A two-vehicle collision between a motorcycle and an SUV at around 7:15 p.m. on Marvin Parkway and Gateway Drive in Opelika killed Christopher Collins, 43. Collins was taken to East Alabama Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. Authorities believe Collins was heading south on Marvin Parkway when the SUV pulled out in front of him from Gateway Drive. The crash is under investigation.
