On Sunday afternoon, Cody Gene Holland and Dylan Smith Gore were riding dirt bikes Highway 431 near Buchanan Road toward one another when each rider swerved in an attempt to avoid an accident, but they swerved in the same direction, colliding head-on. Holland was pronounced dead at the scene, while Gore was taken first to Marshall Medical Center South before being airlifted to Huntsville Hospital.
