1 man dead after weather-related wreck in Ardmore

According to Ardmore police, the car the man was in was traveling northbound when the car slid across the road and collided with a truck that was traveling southbound. One man was killed in Ardmore after a weather-related accident. The wreck occurred south of Old School House Road. A man, woman and child were inside the truck. Icy roads lead to fatal wreck in Ardmore

Ardmore police are on the scene of a weather-related fatal wreck on Alabama 53. Police confirmed to AL.com's news partner, WHNT News 19, that a car slid on the icy roads and went into oncoming traffic. Alabama State Troopers are also working the wreck but could not release any information at this time. It happened sometime before 5 p.m. just south of Old School House Road. AL.com has reached out to police and the coroner for more information.

Tennessee man dies in Limestone County wreck

Troopers said Shelton died after the 2005 Chevrolet Impala he was driving collided with a 2008 GMC Sierra driven by Benjamin Faulk, 25, of Ardmore. Shelton, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Faulk was not injured.
