Man charged with DUI in fatal pedestrian wreck in Decatur

Alabama State Troopers have charged a man with DUI in connection to a fatal wreck on Sunday. Jail staff said he was transferred to the custody of state troopers in Cullman on Thursday to settle other charges. Troopers say Jeffrey Jason Kelley, 38, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet van when he struck a man crossing the street Sunday night. After further investigation, Kelley was charged and booked into the Morgan County Jail on Monday. The pedestrian was pronou8nced dead at the scene.
