Andy D. McSpadden, 50, died, John W. Harrison, 76, Heath D. Mcelrath Jr., 21, and Geraldine Harrison, 80, injured on U.S. 11 in Etowah County, Alabama

A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 11:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, has claimed the life of a Fort Payne man. Andy D. McSpadden, 50, was fatally injured when the 2009 Nissan Rogue that he was driving struck the 2020 Mercedes GLC300 driven by John W. Harrison, 76, of Kingsport, Tenn. McSpadden was pronounced deceased at the scene.
