Officers say Christopher Wayne Ross, 19-years-old, was speeding west on Mastin Lake Road when he ran a red light hitting a vehicle, killing the driver. The driver was identified as 19-year-old Toniette Katherine Piccinich.

The force of the impact caused Piccinich's vehicle to hit another vehicle sitting at red light. A passenger in the third vehicle was entrapped and then taken to Huntsville Hospital in serious condition. Ross is charged with manslaughter, assault and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries.

A Tennessee teenager who was drunk when he killed a 19-year-old Madison County girl in a 2015 Huntsville crash has pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
A white Impala was traveling on Mastin Lake Road at high speed at around 8:15 p.m. when witnesses say the driver ran a red light and collided with a grey Toyota Corolla. The Impala struck the Corolla on the driver side door, and the force of the impact pushed the Corolla into a blue car at the other end of the intersection. The driver of the Corolla, identified as 19-year-old Toniette Katherine Piccinich, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver in the blue car had to be extricated from their vehicle, and wa taken to Huntsville Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Impala, 19-year-old Christopher Wayne Ross, was reportedly extremely intoxicated and tried to flee the scene on foot but was apprehended by witnesses. He is charged with manslaughter and a felony count of leaving the scene of an accident.
