A man was found unresponsive inside the house and was taken to the hospital. He was the only person in the house. The fire appears to have started on the back side of the property.
Huntsville man killed in house fire on Deerfield Road
Four fire units responded to the burning house in the 3400 block at about 1 p.m. Capt. Frank McKenzie said they got in the front door and found a 36-year-old man unconscious in the hallway. The man was unresponsive. McKenzie said he was declared a priority 0 when he was loaded into the ambulance. Emergency responders performed CPR en route to Huntsville Hospital.

Coley Coleman died of injuries he sustained in the fire, which broke out around 1 p.m. Monday at 3422 Deerfield Road. Responding firefighters entered the front door of the home and found Coleman unresponsive inside.
