A man is dead after being struck by a tractor trailer in Scottsboro early Tuesday.
The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. on Highway 72.
Police say 38-year-old Lonnie Elvis Brown Jr. was in the road on a stretch of highway that wasn't well lit when the accident occurred.
