Clara Fulton, 22, Dylan Allen, 19, and Jacob Dylan Lovell, 20, killed, and one injured in collision between car and pickup at Highway 67 and New Center Road in Somerville/Priceville, Alabama

State troopers and firefighters work at the scene of a collision on Alabama 67 in Priceville early today that officials said claimed the lives of two people and injured two others. A compact car and pickup truck collided head-on around 5:30 a.m. in the westbound lane. The car reportedly caught fire but it was quickly extinguished. No other details were immediately available.

The condition of Jacob Dylan Lovell, 20, 1475 Natural Bridge Road, Hartselle, has not changed since he was taken to the hospital by helicopter early Monday morning. He is in the hospital’s neurological intensive care unit.

A third person has died from injuries suffered in a Jan. 4 head-on collision in Priceville. The crash occurred when Lovell's 2015 Subaru crossed the center line and smashed into a Nissan Frontier pickup truck driven by Edward Balford, 69, of Eva. Following the crash, Lovell was transported by helicopter to the hospital where he was placed in the neurological intensive care unit, the Decatur Daily reported. Fulton was pronounced dead at the scene and Allan, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. Jacob Dylan Lovell, 20, of Hartselle died on Saturday at Huntsville Hospital, according to reports.
