Steven Villalobos, 22, killed, one other person seriously injured, airlifted to hospital, after a 3-vehicle crash on Highway 43 in Spring Valley.

Emergency crews in Colbert County responded to the scene of a fatal crash involving three vehicles, Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities said one person died in the wreck. That person was later identified as 22-year-old Steven Villalobos of Russellville. Another person, later identified as Gregory Hogan, 47, was flown to Huntsville Hospital. Their condition has not been released. A third person, Thomas Carlisle, 23, was treated at the scene.

Traffic on Highway 43 in Spring Valley was blocked near the intersection with Bluff Canyon Road and was re-opened later Wednesday afternoon.

State troopers continue to investigate the crash.
