Major delays I-65 SB Prattville to Montgomery after fatal crash

Drivers if you are headed from any part of Prattville into Montgomery you may want to consider an alternate route. Troopers say all lanes are open at this time. Another alternate route would be to take Alabama River Parkway toll bridge into Montgomery. According to Troopers, the crash involved one of the vehicles catching fire and two fatalities. According to officials with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, the first crash on I-65 SB involved two vehicles.

Women killed in fiery, overnight I-65 crash now identified

Two Montgomery women who were killed in a fiery, two-vehicle crash on Interstate 65 Wednesday night are being identified by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Steve Jarrett said Barbara Ann Rosen, 55, and Joyce Diana Williams, 54, were killed when the 2007 Cadillac Rosen was driving was struck by a 2007 Chevy Silverado. Crash investigators are working to determine the cause of the collision. The driver of the Chevy, Kaley Marie Hughes, 18, of Marbury, was injured and transported to Baptist South. The crash happened around 10:25 p.m. at the 174 mile marker.
