Driver seriously injured, transported to hospital, after his logging truck crashes on Autauga County Road 1 near Prattville.

One person suffered serious injuries in a log truck crash Wednesday morning in Autauga County, according to Alabama State Troopers.

Authorities say the crash happened around 11:15 a.m. on Autauga County Road 1 near U.S. Hwy. 82.

The driver of a fully loaded log truck was entrapped in the vehicle after it crashed and spilled its load.

Crews were able to pull the driver from the wreckage and transport him to an area hospital for treatment.

An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing. No other vehicles were involved.

The road has since been cleared and is open to traffic.
