Two teenagers are recovering after separate boating accidents over the weekend on Alabama lakes. The first happened on Lake Jordan Saturday around 3 p.m. The second happened Sunday around 4 p.m. on Lake Martin.
Wetumpka teen injured in Lake Jordan boating accident
Alabama State Troopers say an 18-year-old Wetumpka woman was seriously injured in a Lake Jordan boating accident Saturday.
Destiny Paige Knight was involved in an accident between a personal water craft and a boat, causing her to sustain serious injuries. She was taken to Elmore Co. Community Hospital, and was then airlifted to The University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital. More information will be posted once it is available.
