A fuel tanker crashed on the Parks Highway, spilling at least 2,000 gallons of fuel and closing one lane of the highway.
Parks Highway lane closed near Healy after tanker crash, spill
"Myers had been driving a 2011 Freightliner tractor northbound on the Parks Highway when he lost control of the vehicle," troopers wrote. "The vehicle entered the ditch on the northbound side of the highway and rolled. Myers was uninjured."
At about 2:30 a.m. near Mile 271, a fuel tanker crashed and spilled at least 2,000 gallons of fuel. The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation is coordinating the clean-up effort. The driver has been identified as Robert Myers Jr., 31. He was uninjured. More info will be added once it becomes available.
