Multiple people injured in crash involving jack-knifed truck on Parks Highway near Healy, Alaska

Five seriously injured in late night Parks Highway crash

The first vehicle was a Honda Element driven by Anchorage resident Stevie Lander, with passengers Cadam Peterson and Moriah Walker, both of Anchorage, and Phillip Payton, of Palmer. The report puts their ages at between 17 and 28 years. The Element struck the back of the trailer, according to the report, and became wedged between the trailer and the southbound guardrail. The four were able to get out of the vehicle. About a minute later a 2004 Mazda Tribute driven by Lonnie Parrish, 83 of Anchorage, and carrying passenger Sandra Parrish, 69 of Anchorage, struck the back of the trailer. Sandra Parish had to be removed from the vehicle by Tri-Valley EMS.
