Drivers hospitalized in Parks Highway crash involving 2 semi trucks

Two semi trucks collided late Monday night on the Parks Highway in Interior Alaska, hospitalizing both drivers with non-life-threatening injuries, troopers say. A separate crash involving a semi truck closed the Parks again, near Big Lake, less than 12 hours later. One of the truck’s trailers collided with a southbound semi driven by Ernest E. Holt, 52 of Fairbanks. A semi driven by Ronald E. Trujillo, 38 of Anchorage, had lost control while negotiating a curve, troopers found. In that case, a 68-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries, troopers said.
