Man dies in rollover crash of minivan north of North Pole

The crash occurred 5.5 miles north of North Pole and a mile south of the highway junction with Badger Road. A man riding in a minivan died early Wednesday morning in a crash off the Richardson Highway between North Pole and Fairbanks. Six people were in the van being driven by 21-year-old Matthew York of North Pole. A woman passenger in the minivan was flown with injuries to an Anchorage hospital. The minivan left the highway and rolled.
