20-year-old victim IDed in fatal pedestrian collision in Pinal Co.
The driver of the car, a Chevy Cavalier, was a 51-year-old man from San Tan Valley driving eastbound on Hunt Highway about 45 miles per hour.
Tavita was reportedly walking west in the eastbound lanes of Hunt Highway with his brother when he was struck by an eastbound car driven by a 51-year-old man. The collision severely injured Tavita, and he was pronounced dead after being transported to the hospital. The driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, but toxicology tests are underway to determine if Tavita was impaired. We will add more details to this accident as they become available.
