Speeding SUV crashes into vacant Phoenix house.
A wild ride ended in a big crash in Phoenix on Wednesday night.
A Phoenix police spokesmen said a man in an older model SUV was driving recklessly about 9:15 p.m. in the West Valley when he crashed into several parked cars and just kept going, blowing through traffic lights at speeds witnesses said reached at least 100 mph.
Then, at Seventh and Southern avenues, he sideswiped a car with two women inside, nearly sending the car into a wall.
The string of events finally ended when he slammed his truck into a vacant house nearby.
"Glass hit us in the face, and I thought, 'What is going on?'" said Kimberly Huckaby who was driving the car.
"But I was holding onto the steering wheel to keep us from going in there," she said pointing toward the wall. "He was dragging us that way."
The spokesman said the two women suffered few cuts from the shattered glass, but were otherwise OK.
The driver of the truck was also OK despite the serious impact of the crash.
He was arrested him and officers were waiting for test results to see if he was driving under the influence.
